Refund & Return Policy

At Fiction Dept, all items are produced on a made-to-order basis. Each product is created specifically for the customer once an order is placed. Please read this policy carefully before purchasing.

Made-to-Order Products – No Change of Mind Returns

Because our products are made specifically for each customer, we do not accept returns or refunds for change of mind, incorrect sizing, or buyer’s remorse.
This is in accordance with the UK Consumer Contracts Regulations exemption for custom-made goods.

Defective or Faulty Items – 7 Day Policy

If your item arrives with a manufacturing defect (such as production damage or a printing error), you may be eligible for a refund or replacement.

To be eligible:

  • You must contact us within 7 days of receiving your order

  • The item must be unworn, unwashed, and in original condition

  • You must provide clear photographic evidence of the defect

Once confirmed, we will issue a refund or replacement.

We Do Not Accept Returns For

  • Incorrect sizing

  • Change of mind

  • Buyer’s remorse

  • Damage caused by normal wear and tear

  • Improper washing or care

How to Request a Refund for a Defective Item

  • Clear photos of the defect

  • A brief description of the issue
